Pop music has more misses than hits when it comes to originality and authenticity, but POWERS found the skeleton key to the hit vault, and if they keep putting out material like this, the music industry is going to be theirs for the taking. "Loved By You" is their second installation in what can only be described as an all-out war against boring Top 40 playlists everywhere, and it would appear that they're winning the fight. Simply put, this track is epic, and it's going to be huge. POWERS' previous single, "Beat Of My Drum", featured the vocals of Mike Del Rio (he's half of the duo), but this track puts the the vocal chords of the other half, Crista Ru, front and center. In past releases, it's been her voice that's gotten the most airtime, so one might consider "Loved By You" a return to form, but make no mistake that this is still POWERS 2.0, and that their music here serves testament to that fact. Even with the vocal changes from song to song, there's no issue of lost identity, because the music itself is so unique and unmistakably theirs.
