Mauro Remiddi, a.k.a. Porcelain Raft, hits you immediately and without remorse with a thumping bass line and sprawling, dream-like guitar riffs on his latest release, "The Way Out," from upcoming LP Permanent Signal, due August 20th. The song is a stunner, pure and simple. Hearing Mauro talk about the inspiration behind the idea is equally interesting: "I wrote "The Way Out" in New York during Hurricane Sandy. I was walking home, keeping my head down because of the rain. I noticed on the sidewalk that all of the trees had their roots growing throughout the pavement. Nature couldn't be held back by cement. I started to notice mold on the walls of buildings and the stains it created, and realized it didn't matter how many times we paint the walls white, nature will always stain them again, and the stain will grow bigger with time. The vision of it makes you surrender" With "Think of the Ocean" and now this latest track, absolutely do not sleep on this album.
