France has been exporting some fantastic music recently, and although there's a bit of an obvious language barrier that we at times deal with, we're still loving the work from the Parisian indie-pop duo, POOM. We first took notice of the act with their most popular effort to date, "Les Voiles", and over the past month, they've been casually releasing song after song. However, their most recent effort, "Qui es-tu?", definitely stands out to us as the best of the bunch. There's no denying the brilliance of"Qui es-tu?", and its diverse range of instruments provides an eclectic sound that stays true to the duo's style. While the vocal harmonies are lovely, the musical battle between the electric guitar and piano on the latter half of the track really steals the show. We're incredibly impressed by POOM's skillful execution here, and if you dig the effort as much as we do, make sure you take advantage of the free download they're so generously allowing.
