We can no longer talk about how it doesn't matter that we don't know French (when it comes to French-speaking music, at least), because as time goes on, the more of the music we keep coming across. It's probably time to learn the language, then, because it doesn't appear that the country's particular influx is going to stop anytime soon. The latest to emerge from the area is the Parisian indie-pop duo, POOM, who create accessible, adorable pop-sensibilities that blend into slight accents of disco and funk. The duo's newest material is probably the the best place to start as a new listener, and their latest track, "Les Voiles", heralds everything we just talked about. Keep your eye on the individuals, too, because we're expecting more feel-good music of theirs to keep cropping up in the future.
