"Lost & Found" is hip-hop, but don't skip over to the next track if you're not normally a fan of the genre, because this just might be the song that changes that all for you. The intro opens up with some sort of flute solo, so right off the bat, you know this isn't going to be your average offering. From it Polish Ambassador proceeds to dismantle pretty much every assumption about what it takes to make a successful and cohesive hip-hop single. Ostensibly, the ultra laid-back beats combined with the funky sounds and borderline-experimental production work should have meant this track was going to come off as self-indulgent and maybe even a bit awkward. However, Polish Ambassador has managed to coordinate all these far-flung elements and tie them up into one tightly packed song that's both modern and catchy. Both Mr. Lif and Ayla Nereo appear on and add levels of depth to the track, and the couple times when both voices sync up, the effect is mesmerizing. "Lost & Found" never really opens up or transitions away from it's relaxed pacing, but for the entire duration of the song, Polish Ambassador's production work keeps things moving at a decent clip. By the time you've finished listening to the whole thing, you'll have realized that there was a lot more energy bundled up in the lyrics and beat than you would ever have anticipated; and, despite the thought-provoking story that Mr. Lif recounts, the vibe is still bright and cheery, so you'd have no problem at all throwing this on your summer playlists.
