Indie-pop act Polarsets is poised to make quite a splash with, "Whispers", a track taken from their debut album, Parasols, that just released yesterday . The song exemplifies the band's unique style very well, featuring smooth, spacious production and an unusual song structure that keeps the listener guessing. In fact, "Whispers" suddenly winds down to nothing in the middle of the track, and then after a few moments of silence, slowly builds back up to a huge, horn-laced finale. It's a moment that's simultaneously off-putting and thrilling, and it's moments like this that characterize their sound so well. While we've yet to hear the rest of Polarsets' album, based on "Whispers", it's evident it'll sound like something that going to incite some curiosity across the musical board.
