When the four-member electronic project Point Point released their first-ever effort in “Life In Grey“, we were taken aback by just how intriguing a sound they’d managed to make out with. We weren’t the only ones swept by surprise, either, as the track’s since exploded to its present 584,000+ plays on SoundCloud alone. Needless to say, there was much abuzz about the four after the track took off, and with slightly bated breath, we waited to see what direction the mysterious members would take their sound. With “Morning BJ”, they’ve quieted such curiosity, offering again an electronic expanse we can’t help but absorb ourselves into. Several slicing synths, vocal twists, and spotty instrumentations litter the soundscape, and it’s an ever-adventurous one. There’s an exuberant expression all around the track’s progression, and though the tempo keeps high throughout, the different spikes in sonic energy really play a nice part in keeping us wide-eared the entire time. Find a clever, jazzy outro as the effort comes to a close, and be on the lookout for more electrifying material from Point Point going forward.
