Phil Beaudreau — Cant Go Back

Phil Beaudreau

Cant Go Back

Arriving earlier this year with his string of debut tracks: "Take It High", "Spark" & "This Is Why", the LA singer/songwriter, Phil Beaudreau, and his production counterpart, Dawaun Parker, received some decent buzz off the impressive offerings. That was back in February of 2013, so things have definitely cooled off since then, and there's no doubt that some people have forgotten. However, based on the strength of his debut album ETHER that just dropped last night, people will take notice once again, and by notice, we mean develop infatuation. Why, you ask? Despite it's soft-release, ETHER is better far beyond the scope of hype it has yet to receive. Rather than spend any money on marketing, it's clear the mode of action here is to let the music speak for itself. We're just running with assumptions based on observations here, but in our opinion, this is the best route possible at the moment, because once people hear ETHER, the buzz will be inevitable. With Dawaun Parker already finding his success as a producer working with the likes of Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z + others, and winning multiple Grammys, he now takes his impressive resume to help mould the sound of Phil Beaudreau. On his own, Phil's voice is a classically sounding one that easily carries its own weight. Combine this with the pop-sensible, hip-hop-leaning production of the experienced Dawaun Parker, and you have yourself well-crafted music that sounds very polished. You can catch our favorites below, or just head on over to Soundcloud to hear the rest of the album. ETHER is available for purchase on iTunes.
