Exciting new acts don't come around every day, but when they do, you know (or, at least, you should). Petricha, a new four-piece from the music capital of Europe, will pique your interest the second you hear them, and with their just-released self-titled debut EP, the promising group has five tracks to show you how good and potential-rich they really are. Petricha's sound is one led by gorgeous male and female vocals alike (we don't know the members of the band), and, a bit in the vein of Oh Wonder's, it works. What separates it from the pack and makes it unique, though, is its well use of tantalizing, electronic-backed production. There's an air of mystique and iciness to their sound, but, rather than pushing you away, it really invites you in. It's kind of like a mystery begging to be unraveled, and it's an especial rarity to hear that serve as an introduction to an act. This is quite special work they've put forth, and we encourage you to stream it below and/or pick it up on Bandcamp as well.
