Indie-pop fans have a reason to get excited, and that reason is PERMANENT, a nascent Swedish duo with a notably fresh sound. Their first single, "Hey", was released on SoundCloud a year ago, but it managed to slide past our radar (and everyone else's, apparently). The track presents an exciting blend of electronic and female vocals like Vallis Alps', and we like it very much. More recently, now, PERMANENT uploaded their second song, "Tobacco", which is more of a Sylvan Esso-styled affair. The fun track makes use of bouncy synths, minimal percussion, and shimmering chimes, and it results in the perfect sonic environment for the vocalist. After hearing these pieces, we're hooked on PERMANENT, and we're betting it won't be long before they start getting some attention, so check them out below.
