For music enthusiasts and writers alike, it’s always a great feeling to come across something that’s never been heard before, especially given the abundance of fresh talent that’s out there. It’s easy to believe just how much potential there is for great acts to arise, and here with uprising Aussie 4-piece Peppermint Cloud Club’s second single, “Young Lovers,” we’ve our case in point. PCC tends to favor the lighter side of the genre here with their effort, casting off a slightly rock-tinged vibe that’s sure to please, especially without the eccentric jam sections that seem commonplace today. In fact, the group’s lighter tone is what captivates us the most, as we love the groove inside that's able to pull us through our day. It’s garnished with a raspy overtone, too—one that scratches the surface of a relaxed aura and gives the track a balanced and lighthearted feel we love.
