The Finnish duo, Pepe Deluxé are an "inter-continental collective orchestra" directed by James Spectrum & Paul Malmstrom. The duo's fourth studio album is described as an "esoteric pop opera" that is based on the 19th century novel 'A Dweller On Two Planets' by Frederick S. Oliver. The novel is described as being all kinds of sci-fi and futuristic. The duo used eccentric and old instruments to get a sound that they wanted for the album. They used crazy old technologies like a Tesla Coil Synthesizer, a hidden “thunder” effect on a baroque pipe organ, an Edwardian telephone amplifier and The Great Stalacpipe Organ. They waited 2 years to use this crazy organ that is also the world's largest musical instrument. The organ was built in Luray, Virginia during 1956 in a underground cavern. The organ uses rubber-tipped mallets that tap stalactites in the cavern to create music (dope!).
