The sound of Pepa Knight's “Coyote Choir” certainly appeals to the grassroots soft-rock population as it carries with it a theme that's as folk-laden as it is upbeat, so it’s only fitting, then, that the music video accompanying the track matches the vintage mood that’s derived from its alternative initiative. It's mission accomplished for director Sam Kristofski as he's here provided us with one of the more intriguing videos we’ve seen to date. The film throws it back to the era that the sound comes from with its 8mm look and inviting, superimposed segments, and through them, Knight’s voice shines as it's visually represented by a number of simple, eclectic animations. The piece is one to be admired give the fact that we don’t often see artists take to a more outdated look with their videos, but Knight and Kristofski have certainly pulled off an amazing stunt here with theirs, and we wouldn't mind seeing more of the type moving forward.
