We've posted a few songs since the inception of HD (OK, maybe more than a few), but this one here is about as obscure as it gets. It's an effort called "Fiesta" from a producer called Paydirt, and though it's only the first one up from the Melbourne native, it's phenomenal. There isn't even cover art for this one (we're guessing that none would do the sound justice), and although that fact makes our lives a little more difficult on the technical side of things, Paydirt makes up for it with his incredible production. "Fiesta" is Paydirt's debut effort, and it's a fantastic piece of deep-house filled with tropical percussion, a shadowy soundscape, and some swelling synths. The track is littered with pitch-shifted vocal chops, and near the conclusion, Paydirt introduces a new layer of synths which we adore. It's apparent he's sampled Ciara's "Body Party" on here, and though we've come across our fair share of related remixes over the months, we never mind visiting more when they're done right. If you're a fan of deep-house, don't think twice about giving "Fiesta" a listen, and hopefully in the near future we'll unravel the mystery that is the Melbourne native.
