Paul Otten describes his music as a mix of "The Black Keys, The Boxer Rebellion, Ben Folds, The Beatles and Ryan Adams into big ole' rusty musical boiling pot." While the comparisons are apt don't let this fool you into believing that he has a single tired old sound that sounds like a blend of those. He draws on elements from all their music and more and dips into all their different - though admittedly similar in this era of music diverse music we live in - genres. "Breeze" is a perfect little uplifting piece of indie-pop featuring the tried and true clap beat that you can't help but love. "Blind Man" on the other hand is quite reminiscent of the Black Keys in parts and is much more raw rock/blues.
