Patrick Watson is back. "Love Songs For Robots" is the title track and lead single off of his yet-to-be-released sixth studio album, and with its earthy, instrumental sound that lingers somewhere between Pink Floyd and Bon Iver, we certainly hope it's an indication of the sort of sound we can expect from the set. Watson said of the song, "I found it interesting how we would use our senses to come up with an emotional reaction", and it's apparent when you listen to it that he's done just that—made us feel something. Whether with his signature floating vocals, or his minimalist, experimental musicianship, it's almost impossible not to get sucked up into his sonic vortex, and trust us when we say it's one worth the trip.
