There’s a whole lot of intrigue surrounding the debut release, “Herefore”, from Byron Bay's latest emerging group, Parcels. The group, comprised of musicians from three different bands (Potato Potato, Lifeline, and Prowler), has been meeting in dimly lit bedrooms and garages alike in search of a divergent electronic sound, and already with “Herefore”, they’ve found it. Parcels' members have combined their vocal talents and laid them over a plethora of synths and samples, ranging from the everyday grooves to intriguing sax fillers and yielding a final product that's beyond impressive for a first dip into electronic-tinged realms. After all, when you put a group of guys who are this talented together, the formation of a hit is bound to happen, and here, it certainly has. We're told that "Herefore" is just the beginning for the group as they've been working on their Clockscared EP for some time now, so if your eyebrows were raised here as much as ours, be sure to keep on the lookout for more to come.
