Part of the reason we started Hillydilly is the fact that there are amazing acts like Norwegian-based hip-hop duo Paperboys that—outside of their own country—were not being heard by many. Their catalog of music—from the early 2000s to their last album in 2009, is some of the most underrated out, and now, seven years later, the have returned with a brand-new four-track EP, Be Like Water. Since 2009, the landscape of hip-hop has changed quite considerably (as have our tastes), and, much to our pleasure, Vinnie and Pope (Paperboys) have not tried to rehash their old sound, nor have they tried to hop on any current trends in a contrived way. Rather, they've managed to give us something that is the best of both worlds. Their stuff is still the same Paperboys that we knew from the past decade, but on new standout tracks like Finding Muzyamba-featuring "Dance" and "Poltergeist", there's a distinct, modern-infused feeling throughout that fans old and new will enjoy.
