Panama — Strange Feeling

Strange Feeling

If you aren't familiar with Panama's triumphant Always EP, we highly recommend that you give it a good listen, because it's the type of EP that you're going to wish was ten songs longer. The group from Sydney, Australia, has been coasting atop a wave of success ever since their sophomore EP's release on Future Classic, a record label that's pushing boundaries in the right direction. Little did we know that Panama had more in store for us, though; they unexpectedly released "Strange Feeling" just moments ago, and the song will be included as a bonus track on the US edition of the EP. While the Always EP consists of only three songs (now four), each effort within carries a similar feel that we can't get enough of. "Strange Feeling" is smothered in Panama's signature sound; the vocals are infectious enough to prompt you to sing along, the inspiring piano chords feel good enough to induce you to dance, and, of course, their iconically subtle electronic undertones are scattered throughout the piece. However, Panama decided to take a different route towards the end; just when you think the track is wrapping up, an absolutely euphonic saxophone solo generates even more awe. So as you listen below, we want you to know that there's no shame in hitting repeat at least a couple times.
