Overdo$e — Meow

Overdo$e

Meow

When you press play on Overdo$e's "Meow", you'll recognize Cashmere Cat's influence almost instantaneously, but that's alright, because the Chicago producer bridges, rather than completely bites, the sound of the esteemed electronic artist. The overlapping elements aren't even a bad thing, either; Cashmere Cat is a blissful force to be reckoned with, and Overdo$e's paid homage on "Meow" displays his artistic cognizance, among other things. That's not to say that the track should be treated on a strictly comparative basis, though; it shines on its own with hyper-spry synths, perfectly progressed chords, and active instrumentations that all coalesce into an electric whirlwind of sound from start to finish (with just a bit more sonic ferocity than the title would suggest, though, we don't mind the inspired name). "Meow" provides a slice of energetic purrfection, one the aforementioned kitty would himself be proud of.
