There’s an aura ingrained in us from when we first heard New York trio Overcoats’ debut, “Little Memory”, one year ago (it was one of those tracks that never really left our playlists nor our minds). Now, however, it’s time that the group makes its return with “Nighttime Hunger,” their latest single release. They’ve here injected within it electronic cuts again that simply push the track to greatness, and once it gets going, there’s really no stopping the vocal slate that has perfectly harmonized tones to offer. Hana Elion and JJ Mitchell (Overcoats) have really caught on to something here, we think, and not necessarily even in the way that they synthesize a number of different genres, but in how fulfilling their sound is as a result. The soul-touched mood elicited from their music is one that's so pure it truly stands out, and with it we hope that the year ahead will be huge for these girls and their sound.
