Otayo Dubb is an Oakland based emcee/producer who is currently inked on the Beatrock Music label based out in L.A (also home to Bambu & Prometheus Brown aka The Bar). Cold Piece Of Work is his debut solo album and his first album since his time with the acclaimed West Coast underground group "Co-Deez". When you see rap dudes like Zumbi, Geo of Blue Scholars, Bambu and producers like Fat Gums all over the track listing you know the guy is going to be legit. Being it your first time hearing Otayo you should probably expect a cross between Pep Love and Shad. Production wise, this album has a seamless direction with the beats as you listen through the album. Track after track its hard to find a reason to move onto the next song. If you have yet to hear about Fatgums (production) then all you are going to need is to listen to his beats below. Oh ya and that Otayo dubb guy is pretty good too. Bandcamp.
