It only took one release for Australian electro-pop newcomer Oscilla to direct our attention his way, and now that we’re listening, we’d like to share with you his latest, “Colours”. A search into the artist's background has yielded nothing of informational significance (his Facebook and SoundCloud accounts both popped up just a few days back), but the contents of the latter page provide us with a peak inside his and Allume's alluring electronic planetarium. “Colours” appeals to the grassroots of the aforementioned electronic-pop genre, and it unwinds with a contorted piano that's accompanied by soothing vocals later flooded with bright synths at the climax of the effort. Featured performer Allume’s profile hints that her music is of the bedroom variety (sonically), which leads us to applaud the quality that it's performed with here on the effort. Certainly, there’s nothing we love more than sonic simplicity able to captivate us so greatly, and with works like the above, we've not only a great listen, but indication that the two artists are well on their way towards long-lasting artistic endeavors.
