One of our favourite things about music is that it's borderless, and while it's cool to point out where in the world certain artists reside, there's something refreshing about forgetting the geo-political aspects of certain region and remembering the humanity that's found in these war-torn, civil-warring countries like Ukraine—the home of enigmatic singer-songwriter ONUKA who has some incredible electronic-pop to share on her debut album. Her self-titled, The Maneken-produced debut was released just over a month ago, but we're not sure it's received the recognition it deserves just yet, because with infectious, house-tinged tracks like "Zavtra", there's no way the music can go unheard for much longer.
