Only Girl is a solo artist based out of London, and she's already had a couple of early singles that earned support from fans and music critics alike. However, it's clear when you listen to this latest release that her best days are still very much ahead of her. "Feel It" is easily her most accomplished piece to-date, and if you haven't heard of her yet, Only Girl is going to make sure you haven't missed her this time 'round with her larger-than-life voice, and a sonic backdrop that is as grand and polished as the kind of music which goes platinum on a regular basis. It's probably a little to early to start naming names when it comes to picking out similarities with the big dogs, but it wouldn't be a stretch to envision Only Girl selling out stadiums with songs like "Feel It". The intro starts out simply enough, with her vocal work pushed front and center so there's no mistake about what caliber of singer you're dealing with. From there, the track opens up a bit, and liberal amounts of reverb and echo have been added to the instrumentation and the vocal tracking to give the impression of scope and grandeur. It's a relatively simple production trick to make the music feel more epic than would normally be if listened to raw, but if the bones of the track aren't there, it's extremely easy to see through the BS, and even the most untrained of ears will pick up on the flaws of a song if the artist was never talented enough to begin with. Fortunately for Only Girl, she's got the chops to back it up, and "Fell It" comes out sounding like some of the best pop music on offer today.
