One Bit's "Cold" is definitely a dance track, but it's of the minimalist variety, and it's been executed almost perfectly. The beat is about the only thing that remains constant throughout the track, but the vocals jump in and out at just the right times, and you're left with a sense of satisfaction after listening to the whole thing that just shouldn't be possible with so little going on in the layering. It's like they managed to squeeze every ounce of sonic awesomeness from the project despite the fact that there wasn't that much there to begin with. We're catching One Bit right at take off, as this is their only track at the moment, but you can bet they'll be back with more, and if the quality of this first release is any indication of what the future holds, then expect many more killer releases in the future.
