Canada may be behind other up-and-coming musical countries, but what they do have is Toronto's Once A Tree. From their flawless release record over the past few months, we've seen this duo rise to the occasion every time, and now with their latest two-track EP, Tell Her I'm Sorry, we find the couple once again providing us with magnificent, enchanting music. Tell Her I'm Sorry, as a whole, is actually two songs woven together as one, but it looks like the pair has divided them on SoundCloud for those favoring one or the other, so we've each listed out separately below. "Tell Her" is the penultimate first half that sets the tone with its overtly cinematic soundscape, and "I'm Sorry" ends the emotive affair with sprinkles of trap-flared percussion, vocal samples, and subtle synth arpeggios. The two enrapture effortlessly in tandem, giving rise to a kind of sonic tranquility we welcome always with open arms, and we seriously hope they've more of the intimate energy available for future works.
