Omar Apollo has been one of the most interesting voices in indie R&B for a while, and 'Live For Me' is him operating in full command of his craft. The production is lush but restrained, his multi-tracked vocals doing the work that most artists need a full band to pull off. Vintage-soul sensibility with a modern finish.
