Oliver's album has been a long time coming. The North American production duo—one consisting of U-Tern and Oligee—released their first EP, Mechanical, five years ago, but, since then, they've put out music sparingly. However, it's now clear they have put that time to good use, because their fifteen-track debut album, Full Circle, is out, and it has absolutely got some musical gems. Full Circle is packed with features from start to finish, though, instead of only using them for vocal additions, Oliver has brilliantly adapted their sound to each artist they work with. Perhaps the most appropriate collaboration on the record is "Go With It" with Chromeo, which meshes both acts' funk and disco-leaning influences. The Elohim-assisted song is a sparkling, euphoric piece of pop, too (as it should be), and their track featuring France's Yelle is a dazzlingly groovy, must-hear work as well. On this release day, the music world is dominated by rap, hip-hop, and R&B, but Full Circle provides us with a healthy dose of much-needed electronic, and we definitely recommend listening to it below.
