Out of all the cities in the UK, Liverpool has been perhaps the quietest one pushing out promising up-and-coming talent as of late, so while the town may not get the musical spotlight as much as a London or Brighton, with the likes of All We Are, Mononoke, Låpsley, and now, singer-songwriter Ohlayindigo coming up, we're seeing the home of The Reds becoming a hotbed for new music. However, the small print here is that Hanna Ponth Løssfelt (Ohlayindigo) was not born in Liverpool, but rather, Oslo; so for the sake of geography, she will be bunched in with Liverpudlians. "Heartbeat" is one of two tracks that Hanna has released thus far, and it happens to not only be her latest, but perhaps, too, the track that holds the most potential for her. Choosing rambunctious drum & bass-infused electronic to back her vocals, we find her sound to be more edgy and experimental than most other female pop vocalists, and whether she chooses to stick with this sound or not, we're digging it nonetheless. You can hear the first track she released, "If These Walls", over on her SoundCloud page.
