Oh Wonder — Lose It

Oh Wonder

Lose It

They run the risk of sounding repetitive with their patterned release approach, and yet, the musical fruit Oh Wonder bears each and every month has us utterly fascinated by what they're able to do. Few artists and acts can pull off what they currently are, and the fact that we've posted all six of their tracks they've come out with speaks for itself. Oh Wonder is all but the realest of deals, and if you're not counting down the days until their next release every month, you're missing out. Today, we've that aforementioned six release of theirs, and it's a slightly peppier piece of work that contrasts nicely their more emotional effort put forth last month. Piano playing, sustained keys, sly brass, and their iconic vocal harmonies collect the effort here as they have on others, but then at the one-minute mark, the contents simultaneously jolt forth and assemble into something awesomely—and artistically—funky. It's as if the London pair is daring us to lose it on the dancefloor or something (anyone?), and indeed, with such a fine effort constructed by them, it'd be regretful not to meet the track with our bodies swaying and minds playing alongside.
