Remixing has forever been considered a unique and omnidirectional craft, one affording artists the opportunity to take a track and send it off in any way they choose, with a mild refresh or a complete overhaul. Within the realm of those who have been known for putting out better-than-average retakes, we’ve artists such as Kygo, 20syl, and RAC—all artists whose music almost assuredly finds HD placement. Seattle's own prized producer, Budo, has been meandering his way toward that lauded status for some time now, and with with his latest remix here of Oh Wonder’s “All We Do”, we think he finally may have crept into the ranks. Within his interpretation, he gives the track a lighter, dance-based tint while retaining its original piano-rooted notes. The thing is, while listening to the original alongside the mix, we’ve a mind-boggling comparison that leaves us wondering how he managed to curate the banger that he did from the softened piano and vocals that were prominent pre-remix. That’s really just it, though. Budo has always had the creativity within him to pull off such sonic stunts, just as he’s the ability to birth the unexpected in almost any conceivable artistic way possible. He's consistent in his drive to find the hidden greatness in a track and release it, and that’s exactly why we've all—and soon, you, too—have been taking to the work.
