We're not really sure at this point which "Say My Name" remixes are official (this one happens to be), which are entered into the remix competition TSIS and ODESZA are putting on, and which are just for fun. We've given up trying to sort through all that, and unless you're a friend or admirer of one of the artists involved, we encourage you to, too. You'll get lost trying to separate the efforts, and really, that's not the point of them at all. The inspired sonic ingenuity is the purpose for all the pieces, and frankly, we've been blessed with a whole bunch. Some we've liked more than others, but at the end of the day, it's all about the efforts made, and we'd be absolutely remiss to say that there haven't been a hell of a lot of producers putting in time and energy they can be proud of. With all of that said—and to reiterate—there have been remixes we've taken to more especially than others. RAC's own was one we raved about, and yesterday, Jai Wolf's caught our ear, but today's a new day, so naturally, we've a new interpretation to fall into good graces with. HD-favorite Slow Magic is the one providing that for us now, and regardless the amount we've waded through to get to this point, his own take on the track is one we all ought to celebrate. Magnificent and magnanimous keys open this effort we're touting so high , and right away on it, you get the sense that it's one you'll soon be heralding yourself. It's absolutely emotional, the onset is, and when Zyra's pleading desire to dance comes calmly in, you're going to shake your head at the absolute majesty exuded. That's not all, though—Magic makes sure to keep the effort fresh with dynamism as its central theme, and when it evolves in ways you never thought possible, you'll shake your head again, and again, and again, and again. Crashing percussion and a guitar solo from Magic's own father are just two of the elements you'll be privy to from this point on in the track, so you're going to want to make sure you listen to it all, and please, for the sake of the art, replay it as many times as you absolutely must. It's an incredible effort from start to finish, and we've ourselves caught new things going through it multiple times, so do so yourself, and most of all—enjoy.
