To say that Oddisee is an up and coming emcee in 2012 is a very inaccurate statement because before the release of his debut, People Hear What They See, Oddisee had a sound like no other coming up in 2004. He had the type of production that instantly put him alongside the best. There was never a question of wondering if Oddisee was going to break out, it was only a matter of when, because his music was that good. I think his music didn't reach that many people back then simply because underground hip-hop was actually 'underground', as where nowadays the internet has way more music lovers engaged than ever before. So in hindsight you can see why people call him up and coming in 2012, but for our sake lets take some history on that false statement first.
