Abhi Raju and Dijon Duenas (Abhi//Dijon) have a habit of dropping the most delectable R&B jams, and even though the duo came into being with relative recency, they’ve created a rather influential buzz since their sound initially begun. To our surprise, the Maryland-based prodigies have no remixes under their belt, so to begin their voyage in the territory, they’ve fittingly taken on Oceean’s seductive track, “Need U”. More than reworking the piece, the two have almost given it an identity of its own, and the familiar eloquence of the vocals coming from their camp proves the claim. Inserting little elements like gushing droplets, murmuring echoes, and scraping metals set the stage beautifully for the remix's syrupy bassline to dive in, and that’s exactly when the riveting vocals send us swiftly into admiration of the track and the artists behind it.
