My introduction to Jarreau Vandal's production talents came through his release on the Soulection White Label, and ever since, I've been keen on keeping up with the guy's creations, because, among an increasingly crowded field of upcoming producers, his sound remained unquestionably unique. Today, I came across his remix of Oby Nine's three-month-old "Serotonin" effort that was shared today as part of a remix EP that the track inspired. There were five remixes in all, but Jarreau's stands head and shoulders above the rest, thanks in part to its throbbing synths, perfectly supplementary percussion, and overall intelligent feel inserted into the original track. It's not too fast-paced, not too slow, and never uninspiring; it's a near-perfect sonic mood set by an alarmingly consistent individual, and we're excited to see what material he next comes up with.
