Eleven months ago, we came across some of the most unique music we've ever heard. It was created by Brooklyn, New York, resident O Mer, and, what eccentricity it had was matched only by the mystery of the man behind it all. Details were fairly sparse about him, as they tend to be with most musicians nowadays, but his music spoke loudly enough. For us, that's what matters. Though we've skipped over some of his most recent efforts, we're intrigued to the point of a post with his latest one, "Now I'm Alive", here. It's eclectic and pretty weird, again, but not in any kind of off-putting way. O Mer's voice is used meticulously and marvelously throughout, his electronic inclusions—at times forceful-sounding—do lend character to the piece, and the sparse instrumentation elsewhere lets the song's flavor truly stand out. It's a unique one, that's for sure.
