One of our favorite things to see is an artist that strives to completely separate himself or herself from the pack. For many, it can be far too easy to submit to conformity and release "safe" songs adhering to tried formulas; however, the ones who sonically push the envelope are often the leading innovators and ones most loved. Today, fantastically enough, we're bringing you an ingeniously deviant, Brooklyn-located, multi-genre composer O Mer. Originally from Tel-Aviv, O Mer stands on his very own island stylistically, and by blending smooth guitar work, bubbling percussion, cosmic electronic, and his own unique vocals, he's created a few works of pure musical genius. O Mer's third EP, Blind, is set for release sometime in the near future, and from it, he's released two singles, "Crazy Flames" and "Blind"—each absolutely mind-boggling affairs. The latter effort is a totally unique sonic experience, and though the former is equally atypical (and awesome because of it), it might be a bit more of an easy listen. Regardless, O Mer's production on both tracks is unbelievable, and it's leading us to believe that he's the type of artist that has the potential to release a song that could totally change modern music production, so be sure to keep an ear out for his upcoming project.
