After being slammed with so much fantastic new music today, we can't think of a better way to conclude our day's work than with a fantastic new female musician. The lady in question is 22-year-old "NYNE", and like so many other talented artists we're coming to know these days, she's located in Melbourne, Australia. NYNE began her artistic career online by releasing a few covers and interpretations of some big-name rappers, but about a month ago, she released her very first original effort, "Private Show", and it's a wonderfully hazy work of darker pop. NYNE showcases her marvelous croon throughout the song, but her prowess isn't limited to vocals—she also did an exceptional job producing as well. Her work is clearly influenced by hip-hop as evidenced by the track, but the combination of chilling soundscapes and heavily filtered drums results in a sound that lingers on the downtempo side of the genre. It wouldn't be surprising to us at all to see her team up officially with a rapper in the future—and she's certainly proven with this piece and others that she have the style and talent necessary to do just that—but for now, we'll be fine enjoying the unique offering she's most recently put forth.
