While it may be impossible for Novo Amor to escape from the Bon Iver comparisons, Ali Lacey (the man behind the former moniker) can at least revel in the fact that, when you're compared to such artists, it can only be taken as a compliment, because as shown on his sophomore, ethereal folk EP, he deserves to be on that kind of level. From Woodgate, NY., we've seen the previously released pleasures of "Holland" and "From Gold", and now with the rest of the EP out, we find the remaining two efforts, "Weather" and "Cold", to be of significant listening worth.
