Nothankyou is the collaboration between Tom Vek and Olga Bell (of Dirty Projectors), who apparently met via the Internet before teaming up to release two singles, "Know Yourself" and the newly released "Oyster." The track itself was built piece by piece - Tom had the backbone which he sent to Olga, back in Brooklyn Olga added keyboards and topline before sending the track back to Tom, and after a few more exchanges they had a song. And what a song it is. You never really know where it's going, right from the static build up of the beginning to the rattling cow bells to Olga's high and low end vocals to the big guitar riffs punctuating the beat. This track is going to single-handedly save an otherwise slow Sunday of music. Take a listen below.
