Arriving in 2012 with her debut self-titled EP that featured the 400K-play-reaching "Walk On By" was the former NYC (and current Los Angeles) singer-songwriter, Noosa, who, since the release of the work, has gone on to feature on tracks with Ghost Beach, and, most recently, seen the release of her adored Drake and The Weeknd cover, "Live For // From Time". Over the course of last two years, you could consider this a pretty small musical output from an aspiring musician, but as we've been told, for the last year-and-a-half, Sky Barbarick (Noosa) has been working on her full-length debut, Wonderland, planning to self-release the body of work May 20th. All things considered, that's a pretty impressive feat, we must say, because as we all know, staying alive financially to do such things is no easy task in these times. With that said, though, we realize it's one thing to commemorate her for her passions, and another thing entirely to commend her for the quality of her efforts. Thankfully, for all sakes involved, her releases have lived up to her interests, and we say this is full confidence upon hearing one of the two new tracks she released from the forthcoming album today, "Clocktower". Within the track, we see that her strong vocals and impressive songwriting talents have not disappeared, but what's really making a firm presence on "Clocktower" is the production from long-time producer, Micky Valen, who entrusts the boisterous track with an inherent edge that not only uplifts the vocals of Noosa, but engulfs them within a palpable amount of emotion that's found with the inclusion of those lovely strings and piano chords. So, if for any reason you expected "Clocktower" to be a one-and-done listen, think again. Wonderland will be released May 20th, so keep your eyes on her SoundCloud page as she continues to release more music from the project.
