There's always a sense of excitement when you're hearing something completely unique, and what Manilla's no rome is providing on "Heaven" definitely falls into that category. In what is a mix of looping samples, bass-infused, rolling percussion, and his R&B-leaning vocals, we're met with something that fits right into the current stream of new music, and yet, there's just enough embedded here to make no rome stand out above the rest. It appears that, according to a description left under rome's track, it's been a rough couple of months for the producer, having experienced the lost of some close individuals in his life. "Heaven" is a sort of tribute to their lives, and it's a beautiful one that seems fated for some kind of project of rome's coming later in the year. Sonically, "Heaven" has us longing for more from the artist, and if you're, yourself, interested in scoping out more work of his, check his SoundCloud.
