The budding star, Nikki Jean, was apart of Tommy Boy Records recent Artists on The Verge project that showcased up and coming artists. There are 2 different volumes in this project; the first being a pop/electronic collection and vol 2. being the hip-hop selections. Nikki took over Vol. 1 with this incredible single that will show you that she is more than up and coming, she is HERE. Some of you will remember her for her feature on the Lupe Fiasco track "Hip-Hop Saved My Life", or her debut album Pennies In A Jar from last year. From what I recall of her last album, there was nothing like "Gone" on that album, so if this is your first intro to her music, what a good one it will be.
