Nicole Millar is a name that, if you are a regular visitor to our site, should ring a bell. Not only have we premiered her last two singles, "Taken" and "Fall", we have also featured songs that she has lent her captivating voice to, and even included her in our best of 2013 Year End Lists. If, for some inexplicable reason, her name has managed to evade your attention, though, take note as we feature her again, this time via the enrapturing remix of "Taken" by Paul Maxwell. Maxwell is a young bedroom-producer from Atlanta who has imbued his own personal touch on remixes for artists such as Kimbra, Lykke Li, and The Weeknd, and has now used that clout to reinterpret Millar's latest offering. All the basic elements of the original remain intact, here; however, Maxwell turns the screws with an energetic fluttering of electronic percussion that heightens the offering to a level far beyond "just another remix" status.
