Nick Leng had quite an immense last year considering he only dropped a couple pieces earlier on, but now we get to see (and hear) him in a fresh light as he inaugurates his 2015 campaign with a scintillating, Carmody-assisted track entitled “Inside Your Mind”. Leng's set to drop an EP later this month entitled Tunnels and Planes, and this piece displays his ever-maturing style quite brilliantly. We’d say you really can't go wrong when Carmody is on the vocal front of any track, but on this piece here, it’s more than just her background assistance that we’re pinpointing, because Nick's floating chord progressions equally set the stage and make it as impressive as it is. Carmody’s entrance triggers inviting drum sequences that are fused by grainy percussive elements, and this adds further to the wafting character of the piece—one you'd be utterly foolish to neglect.
