Nick Hakim — Pour Another

Nick Hakim

Pour Another

Nick Hakim just put out this skeleton of a track, and it's absolutely beautiful. The production work feels dark and hollow, like you're listening to the notes hit your ears in an empty room, but there's something unmistakably peaceful about the whole thing, and the stripped-down guitars are like rays of sunshine as they wind around the beat. Nick's voice could easily turn heads in any R&B-style track, but when paired with this much more toned-down sound, the result is something very unique indeed. If you're looking for something fast-paced and upbeat, look elsewhere, but if it's ultra-smooth chords and quiet rhythms you're after, then look no further, because this one ticks all the boxes. And even after all this, the icing on the cake is the mini-track that pops up about four minutes in and cranks up the buzz, adding an extra bit of character to the project, which we love.
