NewDad out of Galway makes shoegaze that feels lived-in rather than studied. "Slowly" wraps Julie Dawson's vocals in just enough reverb to blur the edges while the guitar work carries genuine emotional punch. They've figured out how to write songs that sound nostalgic for something you haven't lost yet. We've had them on our radar for a while.
