NAVVI hasn't been around that long, but they're already putting out quality material, and we thought this latest release of theirs was the perfect way to introduce them to all HD readers. "Black Coast" is solid blend of downtempo electronic and R&B, and Kirstin Henry's vocals round out the package nicely with an ethereal beauty that would give London Grammar a run for their money. The track is dark (it's called "Black Coast" for crying out loud), but the pacing is much faster than you'd expect, so there's enough energy to keep things from getting too tedious. With such a good balance of sounds and influences, "Black Coast" is definitely a winner, and it should have no problem propelling NAVVI into the spotlight.
