Emotionally ridden folk music will always have a place in our ears, and with "Far From You", the debut track from Balnarring-based (it's close to Melbourne) singer-songwriter Nathan Lomas, he has just that. Now, it's important not to assume some things, like the fact that he's just another Australian dude with a beard (the beard he's rocking there is not big enough yet, in our opinion) spending his days on the beach singing tunes (though perhaps both are true to a certain extent). More importantly, though, he's a voice, excellent musicianship, a great songwriting talent, and a bit of evidence with his track that he's more wonderfully soothing music to share. We'll hope for that while we plunge into "Far From You" below.
